2. Definitions
Personal data — any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
Website user — a person who visits the smartstone.md website via the Internet and uses it.
Processing — any operation performed on personal data (collection, storage, use, transfer, deletion, etc.).
Cookies — small text files stored in the user's browser that allow the user to be recognised on subsequent visits.
3. What Data We Collect
3.1. Data you provide to us yourself. The website's "Contacts" page has a contact form. If you fill it in, we receive the data you provide: [name, e-mail address, message text — keep only the fields that are actually in the form]. We use this data only to respond to your enquiry and to advise you on our products and services.
You can also contact us by phone, by e-mail or via messaging apps (Telegram, Viber, WhatsApp). In that case, we process the data you share with us (for example, a phone number or profile name) only to respond to your enquiry.
3.2. Technical data. The website uses Google Tag Manager (GTM), which may automatically collect standard technical data about your visit: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, visit duration and traffic source. This data is collected in technical/statistical form and, as a rule, is not directly linked to your identity.
If new forms or features that collect personal data appear on the website in the future, this Policy will be updated accordingly.
4. Purposes of Processing and Legal Basis
Responding to your enquiry (form, phone, e-mail, messaging apps) and advising on products and services — legal basis: your consent and/or taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.
Analysis of traffic and visitor behaviour on the website (for example, using Google Analytics, if activated via GTM) — legal basis: your consent, given through the cookie banner.
Measuring the effectiveness of online advertising campaigns (for example, Google Ads, [Meta — keep only if used]), if configured via GTM — legal basis: your consent.
5. Disclosure of Data to Third Parties
We do not sell or trade your data. When you use the website, the technical data collected via Google Tag Manager may be automatically transferred to:
Google — which may activate, via GTM, analytics modules (for example, Google Analytics) and/or advertising modules (for example, Google Ads), depending on your choice in the cookie banner.
International data transfers: Google may process this technical data on servers located outside the Republic of Moldova, including in the USA. We make sure that this provider applies appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses or equivalent certifications, such as the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework).
6. Data Retention Periods
Data from enquiries (form, e-mail, messaging apps) is kept no longer than necessary to handle the enquiry, unless otherwise required by law or a contract has been concluded.
Technical data collected via Google Tag Manager is stored in accordance with Google's retention policies. Data about your consent to the use of cookies is stored in your browser until such consent is withdrawn.
7. Your Rights
Even though the website does not currently collect personal data, as a data subject you have the right to:
request access to the technical data we hold about you;
withdraw consent given through the cookie banner at any time;
object to processing for analytics/marketing purposes;
lodge a complaint with the National Centre for Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Moldova (CNPDCP) if you believe your rights have been violated.
If you have any questions, you can contact us at info@smartstone.md .
8. Data Security
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction.
9. Cookies
The website uses Google Tag Manager (GTM), which may activate analytics and/or advertising modules, and also contains embedded third-party content (for example, YouTube videos). For details, see the Cookie Policy .
10. Changes to the Policy
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy from time to time, in particular when new forms or features are added to the website. The current version is always published on this page, with the date of the last update indicated.
